These Terms of Service govern your use of moonandlantern.ca and purchases from Moon & Lantern. Moon & Lantern is a store operated by Accolade Imaging Inc. ("Moon & Lantern", "we", "us", or "our"). By visiting the site, making a reservation, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked on the site. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
You must be at least the age of majority in your province, state, or country of residence, or use the site with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Information you provide must be accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for activity under your account.
We aim to describe and display products accurately, but colours, scale, packaging, materials, and other details may vary slightly from images or prototypes. Product availability and quantities may be limited. We may correct errors, update information, limit quantities, or discontinue products, subject to applicable law.
A reservation is not a completed purchase of the final product. The current Moon & Lantern collector-box reservation is C$10 and is fully refundable until production begins. If production does not proceed, we will automatically refund the reservation to the original payment method.
If production proceeds, the C$10 reservation will be applied toward the expected C$99 product price. Before requesting the remaining expected C$89 balance plus shipping and applicable taxes, we will provide final product details and an estimated schedule. We will not automatically charge the remaining balance, and a reservation does not create a subscription or recurring payment.
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted only when we confirm acceptance and successfully process the required payment. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Shipping, taxes, customs charges, and import duties may be added as disclosed at checkout. We may reject or cancel an order for reasons including suspected fraud, pricing or inventory errors, or legal restrictions. If we cancel after payment, we will refund the amount paid.
Shipping availability, charges, and available delivery methods are shown at checkout. Dates and transit times are estimates, not guarantees. Delays can occur because of production, carriers, customs, weather, or events outside our reasonable control. Please review our Shipping Policy for details.
Returns, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our Return and Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
The site and its original content, layout, graphics, photographs, logos, product presentation, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Accolade Imaging Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, sell, or exploit site content without prior written permission. Third-party book titles, illustrations, characters, names, and trademarks belong to their respective rights holders and are used only where authorized or permitted by law.
You may not use the site for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity; interfere with security or operation; introduce malicious code; attempt unauthorized access; collect personal information without authorization; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; or use automated systems in a way that burdens, disrupts, or bypasses controls on the site.
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer products and services. Sales are made directly between you and Accolade Imaging Inc., operating the Moon & Lantern store. Shopify is not the seller of our products. The site may also link to or use services operated by third parties. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party content or services except as required by law.
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Shopify may also process information as described in Shopify's privacy policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or products, to the extent such limitations are permitted by law. These exclusions do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded, including any rights or remedies available under mandatory consumer protection law.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. We may suspend or terminate access for a serious breach of these Terms or unlawful activity. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting mandatory rights you may have under the law of your place of residence. Disputes will be submitted to the courts of Ontario unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
